The week ending 02/02/24  This week in 5E we have been busy!

In Maths, we have been looking at the bus-stop method for division, and solving word problems using our multiplication and division skills.

In English, we have been very busy writing up our newspaper reports all about the Battle of Trafalgar. The children have been following their report plans, ensuring we have an opening, main body and closing. We have really challenged ourselves and tried to include many writing techniques, such as parenthesis, powerful vocabulary and inverted commas.

In Science, we have been looking at the incredible work of Sir David Attenborough and Jane Goodall. The children were amazed at how fascinating their lives have been, and it has even inspired a few to work with animals in the future.

5E had their weekly swimming lesson, with a few children achieving 10m on their back and some even 25m on their front - incredible! Well done to our golden pupil of the week for receiving the class award for her fantastic confidence and skills in swimming. So proud of you!
