  • Summer 2 - Week 4 - Learning & Achievements

    Another hot week - we are now over halfway through our final half-term together! Please see below for our learning and achievements:

    English: This week we continued two more of our sentence stacking lessons and focused on questioning and repetition. 

    Maths: We continued our learning of fractions and consolidated our understanding of comparing and ordering mixed numbers.

    Science: We continued our topic of Electricity and constructed our own electrical circuit using wires, a cell and a battery. We spoke about how the circuit needs to be a connected loop to allow for electricity to flow.

    Spanish: We consolidated our understanding of Se (I Know How to) by focusing on the 10 verbs we learnt and showing our understanding through speaking, listening, reading and writing challenges.

    PSHE: We continued our topic of Changing Me and focused on how to make a baby. As a class, we first had to choose the components needed to make a baby, oak tree, cake and car. We then wrote down our ideas for why couples choose to have a baby and the greatest responsibility. We decided that the main reasons for having a baby are because the parents love each other, and they want a family and the greatest responsibility is making sure they are always safe, provided food and comfort.

    RE: We continued our topic of Prayer and Worship and looked at the similarities and differences between places of worship, holy books and traditions in different religions. We then focused on Baptism and why it is important.

    History: We continued our topic of Stuarts and focused on the Great Plague of 1665. We already had knowledge of our English topic last half-term but learnt more about the symptoms and cures. 

    Geography: We started our topic of Japan and on a map identified the four main islands, seas and oceans, the capital city and Mount Fuji.

    PE: We practised the egg and spoon and sack race ready for Sports Day next week!

    Dance: We learnt a new dance with Miss Whyborn.

    Spellings: -tion and -sion suffix.

    Handwriting: Odd and even and double m.

    Guided Reading: Retrieval questions based on Michael Murpurgo texts.

    Art: We began to plot on our bookmarks and are in the middle of our cross-stitching. We can't wait to show you the final result!

  • Summer 2 - Week 3 - LEARNING & Achievements

    Another busy and fun-filled week of learning and achievements in Year 4 with the sun making an appearance! 

     

    English: We started our new topic of fantasy based on the book Aladdin and the Enchanted Lamp. We spoke about what personality means and went round the classroom using personality traits to describe ourselves and classmates. We then discussed Aladdin's traits based on what we have read so far. We then started our first sentence stacking lessons, focusing on adverbials, adjectives and similes.

    Maths: We continued our topic of fractions and focused on partitioning a mixed number by splitting the number into wholes and fractions alongside using number lines to order and count mixed numbers.

    Spanish: We continued our learning of Se (I Know How To) and learnt 5 new verbs. We completed a range of listening, speaking, reading, writing and spelling activities based on these verbs and earned lots of Class Dojos!

    Art: We started our new topic of Embroidery and Needlework. We learnt the technique of cross-stitching and planned the design of our bookmark ready to make next week! We also focused on the work of Margret McDonald.

    History: We continued our learning of the Stuarts and focused on the restoration period led by King Charles II. We created a biography about his life which focused on his interests (horse racing, gambling and going to the theatre), his marriage (Catherine of Braganza) who bared him no children, but he had many illegitimate!, significant events in his life (Great Fire of London and the Great Plague) and his religious beliefs (Catholic).

    RE: We started our final enquiry into Christianity, focusing on prayer and worship. We spoke about our own special places, the feelings we associate with them and why they are special to us.

    PSHE: We started our final topic of Changing Me and spoke about our genes - how we inherit half from our birth father and half from our birth mother and how these can determine our characteristics. 

    PE: We continued practising our sprinting - getting ready for Sports Day!

    Dance: We had our final rehearsal and then half of the class went to the Corn Exchange for the Dance Festival and showcased their amazing dance. We are so proud of each child for their bravery and dedication!

    Handwriting: Roman Numerals 1-20 and double l.

    Spellings: -ly suffix.

    Guided Reading: Retrieval questions based on SF texts.

    Gap Analysis: We purple penned our arithmetic paper and addressed any misconceptions, focusing primarily on our timetables and column method.

  • Summer 2 - Week 2 - Learning & Achievements

    We are so incredibly proud of the class for completing their final Year 4 assessments in GPS, Spellings, Reading and Arithmetic and showcasing all of their knowledge. We are looking forward to celebrating these achievements in a few weeks with our own class graduation ready for Year 5!

    English: We have planned, edited and rewritten our playscripts based on the Plague of Eyam. We focused on including brackets for stage directions, colons for character names, similes, adjectives and verbs to describe the plague symptoms and questions.

    Science: We started our first lesson on electricity. We spoke about how electricity can be useful but also how electricity can be dangerous. We identified hazards found in the house and classroom. We then created our own posters of how to stay safe on electricity!

    Spanish: We started our first lesson in Se (I know how). We learnt 5 new verbs and answered a range of speaking, listening, writing, spelling and reading challenges based on these verbs. We even acted them out!

    PE: Athletics (Sports Day Practice) with Mr Watson. We enjoyed practising our sprinting!

    Dance: We continued to practice our Lava Chicken dance, ready for some of us to showcase this routine in the Dance Festival next week!

    Spellings: -less, -ment, -ful, -ness suffixes.

    Handwriting: Double g.

    We enjoyed creating our own tree to design our Father's Day cards. We hope that you all have a lovely Father's Day this weekend, and we look forward to welcoming some of you next week for Father's Day lunches!

  • Summer 2 - Week 1 - Learning & Achievements

    It has been lovely to welcome the children back to our final half-term together! This week has been a finishing off week due to how short Summer 1 was. We worked really hard this week and completed lots of learning! We can't wait to show you all our learning and achievements:

     

    We are so incredibly proud of all the pupils who have taken part in their multiplication check and for your support parents with their times tables. We have tried our hardest and continue to use Blooket as a fun way to consolidate our timetables!

    Maths: This week we started our new topic of fractions! We focused on finding the whole (equal parts) and counting beyond 1 - this included writing fractions as improper (where the numerator is bigger than the denominator) or mixed numbers (whole and a fraction). 

    English: We have recapped the skills needed and agreed our success criteria for our playscript based on the Plague of Eyam. We will be writing about the main character, Lizzie, who finds out she has the plague! We then plotted our five scenes and discussed how our character is feeling. We are now ready to plan and write - fingers crossed for more pen licences!

    Science: We consolidated our understanding of the water cycle and discussed how water changes states through the processes of condensation, evaporation and precipitation. 

    School Learning Zone - Water

    Geography: We completed our topic of London and the South East by first focusing on Brighton and how it is a seaside town. We learnt that the Pavilion was built by King George IV and styled by Chinese and Indian architecture. Brighton Pier was built in Victorian times and now has a funfair. Many people travel for the day from London due to the train lines!  We then identified the key features of Dover. On a map, we labelled the ports and found that ports are where ships unload and load cargo. We also learnt that the White Cliffs of Dover are white because they are made of chalk and are the ancient skeletal remains of sea algae.     RE: We answered our enquiry question of can Buddhists lead a good life?  We first matched the stages of the noble eightfold path with their meanings and discussed which stages are the most important to us, why right meditation and effort are important to Buddhists and if mindfulness and right effort are important to us. We then consolidated our knowledge by considering what makes our current world a sad place to live. We then designed our own ideal worlds. We spoke about how people will be treated, what jobs and entertainment there will be and how we can ensure good health and food for our citizens.

    PSHE: We continued our topic of Relationships.

    1. We focused on remembering someone that we no longer see. We spoke about how we remember special people or things by souvenirs, memories, photographs, discussed why we might not see someone and what we could add in a memory box for someone who has lost their special dog.
    2. We focused on girlfriends and boyfriends. We were given statements by Miss Edgeley and had to decide if we agreed or disagreed with them. We spoke about what having a girlfriend and boyfriend means and how we can tell people are a 'couple'.  Miss Edgeley even Rick-rolled us!
    3.  We were given scenarios about friendships and debated if friends could be forgiven or not. We discussed that sometimes we have to compromise within friendships if our friends have different hobbies or that sometimes we change so much, we can't be friends. We also spoke about being loyal to our friends and if we have betrayed them, this can make it hard to forgive.
    4. We drew and created a collage of someone or something that is special to us (this could either be someone or something that is still here or gone). In our photo, we had a colour, word and symbol that represented them.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Art: We finished our topic of Byzantine Monuments by focusing on Christ Pantocrator, which can be found in St Catherine's Monastery in modern day Egypt. We learnt that icons were painted for prayer and reflection.

    Dance: We continued to boogie to Steve's Lava Chicken and some of us are very excited to be performing in the Dance Festival in a few weeks' time!

    PE: Sports Day Practice (Athletics) with Mr Watson.

    Guided Reading: Retrieval questions based on Adventures extracts.

    Spellings: Suffixes after a 'y'.

  • Summer 1 - Week 5 - Learning & Achievements

    Our final week before half-term where we have managed to squeeze in lots of learning and achievements. Please see below:

    English: We completed our sentence-stacking lessons based on our playscript, The Plague Village of Eyam.  We focused on using dialogue to show our feelings, the use of brackets to show the stage direction and the use of ellipses.

     

    Maths: We consolidated our understanding of days, weeks, months and years. We also plugged the gaps in our knowledge through finding 10 more or less of a given number and finding 1000 more or less of a given number. We have also been practising Soundcheck and getting our timetables ready for our Multiplication Check after half-term!

     

    Geography: We continued our topic of London and the South East by focusing on the city of Canterbury. We learnt about tourism and how people visit Canterbury for the cathedral. On a map, we labelled key places to visit.

    History: We continued our learning of the Stuarts by focusing on the role Oliver Cromwell played after Charles I's execution and the end of the Civil War. As a class, we discussed reasons why he was a hero and a tyrant.

    Art: The past few weeks we have focused on mosaics. We looked at the Hagia Sofia and the different mosaics found there (in particular Justinian and Theodora). We then drew our own faces and cut out different coloured squares to create a mosaic of our faces!

    RE: This week we have continued our enquiry into how Buddhists lead a good life. We focused first on Right Mindfulness and considered how we can be sensitive to other children's needs in class and how we can support them. We then looked at Right Effort and considered what roles we can take on at home, school and our local neighbourhood to help others and reduce suffering. 

    Dance: We enjoyed another boogie with Miss Whyborn and continued learning our Lava Chicken dance! (Not sure how much the adults in the room enjoy us singing it on repeat though!)

    Swimming: We enjoyed our last lesson in the pool! Lovely to see children in the smaller pool becoming more confident by putting their faces in the water alongside floating forwards and on their backs! It was also lovely to see the children in the bigger pool continue using their floats to help them with breathing underwater when swimming and practising their kicking. 

    Handwriting: Practising our number operations and writing lines of synonyms for addition and subtraction.

    Spellings: Contractions.

    Guided Reading: Retrieval questions based on rainforests.

    Gap Analysis: Reading - describing characters' actions.

     

    Some of us have also enjoyed taking part in Lego Therapy with Miss Chapman on Monday afternoon!

  • Summer 1 - Week 4 - Learning & Achievements

    Another busy week in 4E! Please see below all of our fantastic learning and achievements:

     

    Maths: We have continued to plug gaps in our learning by rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000 and adding 2-digit and 3-digit numbers using the written method.

    English: We have continued with our sentence-stacking lessons based on our playscript, The Plague of Eyam. We focused on dialogue (showing feelings), adverbs (stage direction), 5 senses, action and ellipses. 

    Science: We continued our topic of the Water Cycle and focused on precipitation. We learnt the names of the different clouds and the process of water moving from clouds back to the surface of the Earth. 

    History: We continued our learning of the Stuarts by focusing on the English Civil War, which started from 1642 to 1649 in which Charles I led the country into war by raising taxes and not calling on Parliament. The war was between the Parliamentarians (those who supported the Parliament) and the Royalists (those who supported the King). The conflict led to the King being executed for treason; the country had no King and 4% of the population died.

    RE: We continued our worldview of Buddhism. We looked at the Noble Eightfold Path and considered examples of how we can follow this path in our lives.

    PSHE: We continued our topic of Relationships and focused on love and loss. We learnt about the cycle of grief and maturely spoke about situations where we have lost something or someone special to us. We then had different scenarios where we discussed our feelings.

    Art: For the past few weeks, we have drawn and painted our own Byzantine patterns based on the Hagia Sofia. We learnt that the Hagia Sofia translates to Holy Wisdom and was created as a church in Constantinople.

    Dance: We enjoyed our session with Miss Whyborn dancing to Steve's Lava Chicken! 

    Swimming: More children moved up to the Big Pool and focused on their strokes while more of us in the small pool gained confidence by breathing underwater and putting our faces in the water!

    Guided Reading: Retrieval questions based on Rainbow Week extracts.

    Handwriting: Ascenders and double 'f'.

    Spellings: Spelling rule of contractions.

    Gap Analysis: Reading focused on a character's behaviours and motives.

  • Summer 1 - Week 3 - Learning & Achievements

    Another hard-working week in 4E! Please see below for our learning and achievements:

     

    On Thursday we celebrated 80 years since Victory in Europe. We held a class assembly and even enjoyed a VE day ration lunch!

     

    Maths: This week we have consolidated our understanding of ordering and comparing numbers beyond 1000 by using concrete resources and answering fluency and problem-solving questions. We have also consolidated our understanding of counting backwards through zero, using number lines to help us. We continue to keep practising our times tables ready for our multiplication check in June!

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    English: We continued our playscript, The Plague of Eyam, through an experience day in which we learnt about plague symptoms and used thesauruses to up-level our adjectives to describe the symptoms. We then completed several sentence stacking lessons which focused on expanded noun phrases, feelings, repetition and questions.

     

    Science: We continued our topic of the Water Cycle by focusing on condensation. We learnt that condensation is the opposite of evaporation and this is when a gas becomes a liquid.

    Geography: We continued our learning of London and the South East by focusing on the importance of the River Thames. We learnt that the Romans chose London as it was deep enough for ships but inland that raiders could not attack. We then learnt that, throughout the industrial revolution, it became the world's largest port, but that during WW2, it was bombed and had to be built up again.

    History: We continued our learning of the Stuarts by focusing on Charles I's decisions that led to the Civil War: taxing, not calling on Parliament and marrying a Catholic princess.

    Swimming: 4 more moved up to the big pool and focused on our strokes, while in the smaller pool we became more confident by putting our faces underwater and practising our breathing.

  • Summer 1 - Week 2 - Learning & Achievements

    What a busy week and the start of a new month together! Please read below for our learning and achievements:

     

    Maths: This week we focused on consolidating our inverse operations, focusing on our presentation and the use of the written method to show carrying and borrowing. We also used our whiteboards to help us order and compare numbers beyond 1000. We focused on descenders starting with the largest number first and ascenders starting with the smallest number first.

     

    English: We started the week with an experience day. We were presented with different sources related to the Village of Eyam and spoke about what this tells us. We analysed a map, broadsheet, plague victim list and a box of cures and medicine. We then started our sentence-stacking lessons, focusing on negative similes, exaggeration similes, feelings and questions.

    Science: We continued our topic of Water Cycle by explaining how evaporation occurs when a liquid turns into a gas. We wrote the process and used a diagram to illustrate the process.

    Geography: We started our new topic of London and the South East. We recapped the different countries and capitals of the UK, the Union Jack and the seas/coastlines that surround the UK. We then learnt that a region is an area of a country. On a blank map, we labelled the different counties found in the South East and identified key geographical features.

    PSHE: We started our new topic of relationships. We spoke about jealousy and how this can be an unhelpful emotion to feel. We were given scenarios and, as a class, decided if they had more or less jealous feelings. We then spoke about strategies we can use to help us when we feel jealousy.

    History: We continued our learning of The Stuarts and focused on the Gunpowder Plot. We learnt all about the roles Robert Catesby and Guy Fawkes played in the plot, why the plot was undertaken and the result of the plot. We spoke about the importance of Bonfire Night to us now and why it is celebrated every year.

    Art: We started our new topic of the Byzantine Empire, and we learnt about mosaics. We focused on the mosaic of Constantine the Great, Mary with Jesus and Justinian I. In our books, we sketched a picture of Constantine using lines and shading.

     

    Music: We started our new topic of Expression and Innovation. We learnt and performed a new song, Train is a Comin'.

    PE: Dance with Miss Whyborn and an extra football session with Mr Watson!

    Gap Analysis: GPS Determiners.

    Guided Reading: Inference and predictions based on Adventures.

    Spellings: j ending.

    Handwriting: Irregular verbs.

  • Summer 1 - Week 1 Learning & Achievements

    It was lovely to welcome the children back after Easter break! We've got straight back into the swing of things, so here are our learning and achievements these past few days:

     

    English: This half-term our focus is on a playscript and centres around the Plague of Eyam. We were introduced to the shape of our poem: scene, scene number, stage direction, speech - no inverted commas, character name and setting. We placed these shapes on our poetry map and then were given each scene and plotted the shapes where they appeared. On Friday, we had an experience day when we acted out the playscript and used different voices and actions to portray different feelings. Even Miss Edgeley and Miss Chapman gave it a go! The Bafta goes to...

    Maths: We continue to plug the gaps in our learning and this week have focused on the inverse operations, in particular addition and subtraction. We have also used the inverse to check if the answer is right.

     

    Science: We started our new topic of the Water Cycle. We recapped the three main states of matter: gas, liquid and solid, and conducted an experiment in which we measured the temperature of ice after a 5-minute interval. We predicted if the temperature would increase or decrease.

    History: We started our new topic of Stuarts. We learnt about King James VI of Scotland, who inherited the crown after Queen Elizabeth I died. He then became James I of England, which was known as the union of the crowns. We learnt that in 1606 he ordered the Union Jack to be made, and this flag was named after him! We also learnt that James I believed in the Divine Right of Kings, in which God chose James I to be King and he had absolute power and authority.

    RE: We started our last enquiry into Buddhism. We spoke about making good choices - what good means to us and making healthy food choices. As a class, we created 8 rules to make our class feel happy and safe. We then discussed how choices and consequences can both have a positive impact. We concluded that good choices help us lead a good life!

  • Spring 2 - Week 6 - Learning & Achievements

    A very busy but fun-filled final week of Spring Term! Please see below all of our learning and amazing achievements in 4E!

    Learning:

    English: This week we wrote, edited and rewrote our poem of strength and power based on Maya Angelou's poem I Rise. We focused on including similes, metaphors, repetition for effect, commas and verses alongside focusing on our presentation. Miss Edgeley is incredibly impressed with our handwriting and is proud of all the children for taking their time with their writing!

    RE: We finished our worldview of Christianity and answered our enquiry question of Is forgiveness always possible? We chose inspirational quotes of forgiveness and created our own symbols that show forgiveness.

    PSHE: We completed our topic of Healthy Me by completing our self-assessment and focused on our inner strength and assertiveness. We read a scenario and discussed ways in which the characters could show assertiveness.

    History: We continued our learning of Ancient Rome by focusing on life after Julius Caesar's assassination. We learnt that Octavian and Mark Anthony's alliance soon fell apart and Octavian became Caesar Augustus (the first Emperor of Rome) and that for 200 years Rome had peace (Pax Romana).

    Geography: We continued our learning of Northern Ireland by focusing on how Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are two separate countries. On a map we showed the border and spoke about nationalist and unionist views on the countries.

    Art: We consolidated our learning of Ancient Roman Monuments. Firstly, we learnt that Trajan's Column was built to remember Trajan's victory in the Dacian Wars and the marble shows the events of the war. Finally, for each monument we studied (Pantheon, Colessuem and Trojan's Column) we wrote a fact next to the photo and explained what power it showed.

    Spanish: Los Animales.

    PE: OAA and football with Mr Watson.

     

    D.T: This week we created our own cushions! We learnt about the different types of stitches and appliquéing.  We then planned our cushion - who was it for, what colours and patterns we would use, what it would be used for and then sketched our design so we would have a rough idea! We then cut and chose our felt for our cushion, designed our own appliqué and used the running stitch to form our cushion. A huge thank you to Miss Chapman and Miss Read for working so hard on helping us sew and stuff our cushions. At times, we found this challenging, but it was so rewarding seeing the children happy with their creations! We then evaluated our designs and spoke about what we would do differently if we had to make them again.

    On Thursday we were very lucky to be visited by the Royal Institution for Science in Schools! We learnt all about bacteria and how easily viruses spread! We even got to see and handle fire!

  • Spring 2 - Week 5 - Learning & Achievements

    What a busy and fun-filled week we have had in 4E. Please see below for our learning and achievements:

     

    Roman Day:

    On Thursday, we were visited by a Roman Soldier and were recruited as Roman soldiers ourselves. We took part in different phases. Our first phase was standing as a Roman soldier and practising our marching through the school. We then used a bow and arrow to target our enemies, such as the three-headed Hydra, barbarians and a cyclops. We then grabbed our swords and shields to charge at our enemies. We went into tortoise formation to defend ourselves against our enemies (Miss Edgeley and Miss Chapman squirting us with super soakers).

     

     

    Inside the classroom, we were able to look at 2000-year-old Roman coins and design our own coins. We then used our coins to buy different armour, such as the gladius or pileum. We were then given different Roman artefacts to handle and decide what they were used for. This treasure was from the Iceni tribe, and we had to give reasons for and against keeping the treasure or hiding the treasure!

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    At the end of the day, we were able to hold Roman weapons and try on different Roman armour. A fun and historical day of learning was had by us all - HAIL CAESAR!

     

    Maths: We continued plugging the gaps in our learning by focusing on subtracting 2-digit and 3-digit numbers. We used counters, partitioning, part-whole models, numberlines, counting and then the column method to help us.

    English: We recapped the skills needed for our poem and, as a class, chose our success criteria. We then plotted our poetry maps with how the character would be feeling, and the skills needed for each verse. We then planned and wrote our poem.

    Science: We continued our topic of sound and focused on how the human voice makes different sounds. We placed our hands on our larynx and made sounds of different pitches. We spoke about how faster vibrations give a higher pitch and slower vibrations give a lower pitch.

    Geography: We continued our learning of Northern Ireland by focusing on tourism. We looked at the capital city of Belfast, home to the Titanic; Giant's Causeway, thousands of rock columns formed by a volcanic eruption; Carrick-a-Rede, a 30m bridge and Bushmills, home to whisky (just to name a few places to visit).

    History: Alongside our Roman Day, we learnt about the life and assassination of Julius Caesar. We learnt in his early life he was kidnapped by pirates, conquered Gaul and Britain and then travelled across the Rubicon to seize Rome and become dictator for life. Despite making reforms, he was assassinated by Brutus and Cassius as they feared his power. 

    PSHE: We continued our topic of Healthy Me and spoke about having healthy positive relationships. We then spoke about unhealthy relationships and the impact of peer pressure.

    RE: We continued our worldview of Christianity, and we spoke about how Christians view forgiveness by choosing Bible stories we have studied to explain Jesus' teaching of forgiveness and if forgiveness is always possible.

    Art: We continued our learning of Ancient Rome Monuments by discussing the importance of arches in the Colosseum. We learnt that the Colosseum had over 240 arches and the arch design meant that three tiers of walls could be made which were strong and large. Because of its easy and fast design, slaves were able to make the Colosseum from stone and concrete. 

    Spanish: Aprendo Espanol (Lesson 5). This week we focused on the different colours and what to say and ask about your favourite colours.

  • Spring 2 - Week 4 - Learning & Achievements

    Please see below for our learning and achievements:

    Maths: This week we focused on addressing gaps in our learning and looked at interpreting charts and showing position using coordinates.

    English: This week we continued Maya Angelou's I Rise poem and finished our sentence stacking lessons. We focused on adverbials, precise verbs, synonyms, metaphors, repetition and rhyme.

    RE: We continued our worldview of Christianity and were given inspirational quotes about forgiveness. We discussed and decided which quotes are important to Christians to show forgiveness.

    PSHE: We continued our topic of Healthy Me and focused on alcohol. We spoke about the effects alcohol has on our bodies.

    Spanish: Aprendo Espanol (Lesson 4).  In this lesson we focused on counting from 1-10.

    Art: We continued our topic of Ancient Roman monuments by researching facts about the Pantheon.

    PE: Football with Mr Watson.

    Handwriting: Verbs ending with 'e'.

    Spellings: Spelling Rule 9 of -er and -est suffix.

    Guided Reading: Retrieval and vocabulary questions of Awesome Women: Marry Anning to commemorate International Women's Day.

    Reading Gap Analysis: How the format and presentation of a text impacts its reader.

    Well done to our Golden Pupil Edwin, who is incredibly kind and conscientious. He is demonstrating great ambition and taking every opportunity with his learning and is always learning with a smile on his face and impeccable manners. We are so proud!

    Finally, a huge number of children this week earned their 10, 20, 30, 40-point reading certificates with half the class earning their 50-point reading certificate and one step closer to their 60-points and a new book!
