Week beginning 22.4.24  This week the Forest Schoolers were very lucky to have some visitors from the Sculthorpe Moor nature reserve to talk to us about their work. They explained about their Peregrine Falcon project at Norwich Cathedral, and we were able to learn about this magnificent bird as well as learn about other birds of prey and other birds.

We were lucky enough to see some examples of other birds of prey including a barn owl and a kestrel.

After that, we went outside to see if we could spot any birds or prey outside or any other birds. We sometimes get red kites flying over school.
We each had a bird spotting sheet. We managed to see a blue tit, blackbird, wood pigeon, a crow and some magpies.

We really enjoyed learning about birds from the team at Sculthorpe nature reserve and will be watching the live webcam to see when the Peregrine Falcon chicks hatch!
