Find out what we have been learning in 5/6M this week.
This week, we have been continuing our work on letter writing. We are using the novel 'Kick' as our inspiration and have begun to learn about child labour in order to help us write a convincing letter to help eradicate it.
In Science, we conducted an experiment to see which material was the best thermal insulator. In Music, we continued learning how to play our ukuleles, including practising multiple notes on the same string at a consistent tempo.
In History, we examined the reign of King Louis XVI and how he was eventually overthrown. Our geography work explored the Alps mountain range and the fascinating story of Otzi the Iceman – We created a fact file on Otzi (pictured).
In PE, the children continued their work with Mr Watson in hockey.
