Our first week back was a busy and successful one. 

In English, we have begun our lessons on letter writing and have started a new class reader book called 'Kick' that we will use as the stimulus for our writing.

In Maths, we have been consolidating work on multiplication. We have started studying mountains in Geography and identified the key features. In History, we looked at the social structure of France prior to the French Revolution.

In Art, we have begun to study Islamic art and replicated it using paint. Our Science unit on materials is also underway; we have begun to understand the different properties of materials. 

Our music lessons have also begun, and we used this opportunity to get hands on with ukuleles. In PE, Mr Watson started hockey sessions, with a focus on holding the stick correctly and striking the ball effectively.
