What a week! England played and won their first game and the whole school wore football shirts to celebrate. The summer sun had us beat today, so we ventured out to the Eco Pod to escape the heat of the classroom. The Year 6's have been working hard to learn the lyrics for the end-of-year Assembly and elsewhere we have been studying a range of new topics.
Maths – The properties of circles, including centre point, radius, circumference, and diameter.
English – We honed in on the use of conjunctions in our writing about our Martian adventure.
Guided Reading – Using the subject of refugees, we explored the morphology of language.
Science – Weather and the six different air masses that affect our climate.
History – The Poor Law of Victorian England.
Geography – a sketch of the local area
RSE - Puberty in boys.
RE: Humanism and what marriage looks like outside a church ceremony.
Art – We recreate a William Morris inspired design.
Spanish - La Caffeteria.
PE – Practise sports day.
