...and just like that, the second week of our final term has flown by and, as always, there is a lot to share. It was announced we will be changing name for next academic year to Parkway Academy and with a new name comes a new uniform, which we are all excited about. Some of our class were out representing our school in sporting fixtures, whilst our Year 5 were grabbing application forms to apply for house captain positions for next year.

Across the curriculum we studied:

Maths – we have continued with the angle theme, but now we have moved on to angles in a triangle and quadrangle

English - sentence stacking has started in earnest.

Guided reading – our focus was once again on retrieval, comprehension and inference.

Science – we explore the Ozone layer in more detail

History – the spotlight was on Victorian slums

RE: we have continued our journey into Humanism

Art – making Father's Day cards

RSE – puberty in girls explored the menstrual cycle in more detail.
