In History, we looked at Law and Power, where we focused on Henry II and his influence under today's law and power. We discussed how previously people were trialled by ordeal either by fire, water or combat. We discussed whether we thought these trials were unfair or not.

In English, we began our sentence stacking lessons focussing on the text 'Stone Age Boy'. We have looked at how the boy may have felt, used adjectives, adverbial phrases, verbs and prepositions.

In Maths, we have continued with arithmetic practice and also looked at fractions, where we have looked at understanding denominators and comparing and ordering unit fractions.
In Geography, we looked at Western Europe and identified the countries in this part of Europe. We also looked at the language people speak in these countries, capital cities and famous landmarks.

In Guided reading, we looked at an extract from a story where we used the thesauruses and dictionaries to help us with understanding new vocabulary. We answered retrieval and inference questions using the same text.

In Science, we looked at how sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous are formed and completed the chocolate rock cycle experiment to help with our understanding.
