Week Beginning 02/06/25

In English, we have been plotting our narrative map, planning and writing our play script. Children have recapped the skills that we had previously learnt in our sentence stacking lessons.

In Maths, we have continued our learning of fractions with reasoning and problem-solving questions. Children then moved onto mass and capacity, where they looked at measuring mass in grams.

In computing, children have been learning to edit images using crop, rotate, brightness and colour.

In R. E, we have recapped the Eightfold Path that Buddhists believe in. As a class, we made a list of 10 things that are causing problems in the world. Some children worked in groups and some worked independently where they had to create an ideal world – a world with no suffering, by considering the needs of humans and animals. The children had to consider the following questions.

  • How would people treat each other?
  • What sort of jobs would there be?
  • What entertainments would there be?
  • How would you make sure people had enough food and health care?
