Wow! What glorious weather we had at the start of the week. As the weather was so lovely, we went into the Castle Fort area to read our books.

In groups, children worked together to gather examples of the Eightfold Path that a Buddhist might put into action in their lives. Children shared ideas and created a poster with their examples on them.

In Maths, we have been continuing our learning with fractions where we have had to add, subtract and also look at mixed numbers and improper fractions.

In English, we have been continuing our sentence-stacking lessons where children have had the opportunity to act out scenes from the play to help them with understanding how the person may have acted, including the body language and facial expressions.

In History, we have continued looking at the Civil War, where we have looked at the impact of the war and the consequences of Charles I actions and the Civil War.

In our handwriting lessons, we have been working really hard to achieve as many pen licences as possible. Therefore, we have been practising as much as possible. This week's focus has been practising our handwriting with mathematical vocabulary.
