In Maths, pupils have been continuing their learning with fractions. This week, pupils looked at improper fractions, partitioning and comparing mixed numbers. We have had the opportunity to use our Eco Pod in this glorious weather to complete some of our maths.

In PSHE, we have discussed love and loss and the emotions felt with these. Pupils had the opportunity to discuss objects that they had lost and how they felt, as well as important people and animals to them. Pupils shared their emotions about how they felt during these real-life experiences. Pupils then had different situations, such as moving house and a new school, when a pet dies/grandparents and how they may feel in these situations.

In Science, pupils compared the three main states of matter: solid, liquid and gas. They discussed what they were and completed an experiment with ice where they had to predict whether the temperature would increase or decrease and record the temperature.
