This week was a chilly one so we decided to have a hot chocolate around the Forest School fire area made using our Storm kettle. First we listened to our fire rules - the storm kettle can get very hot just like our fires in the middle so we need to be very careful when it is lit and hot. We then prepared the storm kettle by breaking up small sticks for the fire in the middle, when this was done we lit the kettle and waited for the water to bubble so we knew the kettle was ready for hot chocolate. It was very yummy and kept us all warm!

We also had some very yummy s'mores around our fire which helped keep us warm also!
