We have returned from half-term tanned, taller and champing at the bit to get started with our final term.  It is the final 7 weeks for the Year 6 pupils and emotions are mixed about the next adventure.  However, it is business as usual in the classroom.

This week we have been studying:

Maths – classifying and measuring angles through a turn and on a straight line.

English – our experience day included a trip to space and some short movie clips to inspire our writing.

Guided Reading – we have focused on word meaning and retrieval

Science – we are all delighted with our weather theme, Meteorology.  It is one of the most popular topics of conversation in our class.

History – The Victorians is our topic this year, and we have delved into the life of one of our most famous Queens, Queen Victoria.

Geography – a local study of Kings Lynn has piqued our interest this term.

RE: we are finding out more about humanism.

RSE – we explored 'Changing me' and looked at self-image.

PE – Sports day looms close, so it's out for practise in PE.
