It has been SATS week and our Year 6 pupils have finally had the chance to put all their hard work into practise.  They have come in early every day to have a social breakfast to help with any nerves before putting their all into each session. Great work Year 6. 

Year 5 have been working hard too and have thrown themselves into finding out more about earthquakes in New Zealand and having our minds blown by how small our planet and solar system are compared to the supercluster galaxies and the universe.

Elsewhere in the curriculum 

Maths – Year 5 revisited arithmetic papers.

English - started our independent write based on the book The Explorer by Katherine Rundell.

Science – We now understand just how small our planet is in comparison to the rest of the universe.

History – The role of child labour and its dangers in the Industrial Revolution.

RHE – Online gaming and how to stay safe.

Geography – New Zealand and its position in the Ring of Fire and the impact of earthquakes
