Another strong week of Tennis following up from week 1!
Pupils at Howard Junior School have had another positive week within the PE department and are actively engaging in their tennis lessons.
All year 3/4 classes explored returning the ball using both a forehand & backhand stroke. They then learnt the scoring system of tennis and were able to officiate these in pairs.
All year 5/6 classes worked on being able to build rallies using a variety of shots and then progressed into learning the under arm serve and understanding the rules of serving in a tennis match. Building on last week, pupils then self officiated their games in small groups in a single and double format of matches.
