➗ Maths
This week, the children explored position and direction, learning to recognise quarter, half and three‑quarter turns. They also practised using positional language such as left and right, and above and below.
✏️ English
In English, we focused on spelling and grammar, particularly identifying singular and plural nouns. To link with our topic work, we learnt about St George’s Day and created imaginative story spinners to inspire our writing.
🌍 Geography
In Geography, we investigated Western Europe, learning where it is located and exploring the features of a temperate climate.
🕰️ History
During History lessons, the children completed a timeline activity to help them understand key events involving Henry II and Thomas Becket.
🔬 Science
In Science, we continued our topic on rocks. The children took part in a fun chocolate‑themed experiment to help them identify and understand igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks.
