Spring 1 Week 5
➗ Maths
This week in Maths, we have been learning all about tens and ones. The children explored partitioning numbers, grouping items into tens and ones, and counting more efficiently by making groups of ten.
✏️ English
In English, we continued our work on poetry. The children have been developing their skills so they can begin creating their own poems with confidence and creativity.
🌍 Geography
In Geography, we explored major rivers in both North and South America. The children were able to locate key rivers on maps and discuss their importance.
🕰️ History
In History, we studied Viking longships. The children identified their features and discussed why these unique designs made the longships so effective for travel and raids.
🔬 Science
In Science, we continued our investigation into shadows. The children completed a multiple-choice quiz to assess their understanding and showed great recall of what they have learnt.
