We have had a busy week in 3/4M. The children have been working hard to complete their assessments.
This week in Art, we looked at Nefertiti, who was a Queen in Ancient Egypt, and we looked at the jewellery she wore, which is called a collar. The children then created their own Egyptian collar using a paper plate and paint.

In Geography, we looked at the importance of the River Indus in modern and past times. We labelled the 5 major rivers in Asia on a map.

In History, we looked at what the Anglo-Saxons believed in and what they did for fun. We discussed what a life of a child was like and how Anglo-Saxons were unable to read or write.

In Science, we completed a Science experiment where we looked at objects that were either translucent, transparent or opaque.

In Guided reading, we focused a story called Isadora Moon Goes to School. We looked at inference, retrieval and learning new vocabulary based on this text.

In Religious Education, we continued our learning about Hinduism and looked at how Hindus worship, looking inside a Mandir and labelling the things inside of it. We also listened to a story of a young boy who follows Hinduism.
