Wow, what another busy week we've had!!

In Maths, we have been working on arrays and how numbers are shown through these. We have been getting used to columns and rows and how these are collections of numbers and counters in different directions.  The children used coloured pencils to colour the groupings of counters and the direction they were gathered in to support their learning. They have also been discussing various reasoning and problem-solving questions throughout the week.

In English, we have been working on our sentence stacking lessons, where we have focused on questions, similes and adjectives to describe the woodland and various creatures.

In Religious Education, we have been continuing our learning about Hinduism. The children matched up the different Gods or Goddesses that Hindus believe in and drew pictures to represent these.

In Geography, we have been identifying rivers in Europe. We have discussed different facts about these rivers and how rivers sometimes flow through more than one place or even multiple countries.

In Spanish, we began looking at animals and learnt how to say lion, pig, rabbit, horse and duck.

In PSHE, we looked at our own dreams and goals, identifying what they are and why it is important to have dreams and goals. The children discussed what they wanted to be when they were older and set themselves some challenges for the future.
