Another positive week within the Howard Junior School PE department, building on last week's solid foundations. 

Week 2 of the spring term has seen all classes continue to build upon their units of work for both gymnastics and OAA. 

Class 3/4 M: The focus this week has been on both rolls and jumps, and combining these into sequence work using the apparatus equipment. Focusing on the importance of flow within the sequence when linking movements with rolls and jumps. 

Class 3/4 B: The focus this week has been on both rolls and jumps, and combining these into sequence work using the apparatus equipment. Focusing on the importance of flow within the sequence when linking movements with rolls and jumps. 

Class 3/4 C: The focus this week has been on both rolls and jumps, and combining these into sequence work using the apparatus equipment. Focusing on the importance of flow within the sequence when linking movements with rolls and jumps. 

Class 5/6 H: The focus this week has been on developing the straight, barrel, straddle, forward and backwards roll. And then applying this with asymmetrical and symmetrical balances in sequence work using the apparatus. 

Class 5/6 M: The focus this week has been on developing planning and problem-solving skills; being able to share ideas and work together as a team to solve problems. 

Class 5/6 S: The focus this week has been on developing the straight, barrel, straddle, forward and backwards roll. And then applying this with asymmetrical and symmetrical balances in sequence work using the apparatus.
