Spring 1 Week 2
➗ Maths
This week, the children have been developing their multiplication skills. They worked with arrays and practical resources to help them understand equal groups and how multiplication works in real-life contexts. The hands-on activities really supported their confidence and understanding.
✏️ English
In English, we continued our focus on poetry. The children learned more about rhyming words and had lots of fun starting to gather ideas for their own poems. We’re beginning to see some wonderful creativity emerging!
🌍 Geography
Our Geography lessons explored land use in East Anglia, including the unique features and challenges of the marshland areas. The children were fascinated to learn how these landscapes shape the way people live and work.

🕰️ History
In History, we continued our topic on the British Empire, focusing this week on trade. The children discussed how Britain traded with countries around the world and what kinds of goods were exchanged.

🔬 Science
In Science, the class learned about the life cycles of amphibians and mammals. They enjoyed piecing together a “cut and stick” activity to show the different stages of each life cycle, helping them build a clearer understanding of how living things grow and change.
