Autumn 2 Week 4
Maths
This week in Maths, we focused on comparing groups of objects. This helped us develop our reasoning skills and understand how to identify similarities and differences between sets.
English
In English, we continued working with Colourful Semantics to create our own sentences. We added extra layers such as “where,” which is helping us become more confident and independent writers. The children are thoroughly enjoying this approach to writing!
Geography
Our Geography lessons explored population density. We compared our local area to cities and other built-up regions across the country, gaining a better understanding of how and why populations vary.

History
Building on our work with artefacts, we discussed some of the most important discoveries made by Howard Carter. The children were fascinated to learn about these incredible finds and their significance in history.

Science
In science we explored how and why animals migrate in order to extend our knowledge of the different seasons and what this means for animals.
