Autumn 2 Week 2
We have had another fantastic week in the Aspire Suite!
Mathematics
Our focus was on shapes and their properties. Pupils explored 3D models and discussed the different features of each shape, developing their understanding of geometry.
English
This week’s lessons centred around Remembrance and the importance of the Poppy. Pupils created their own acrostic poems and completed comprehension activities linked to this theme.
History
We delved into Ancient Egypt, exploring what life would have been like during this fascinating period.
Geography
Our topic was settlements. Pupils compared and contrasted hamlets, villages, towns, and cities, discussing their similarities and differences.
Science
We investigated seasonal changes in plants, learning how they adapt and transform throughout the year.
Remembrance
To mark this important occasion, pupils reflected on the significance of Remembrance and joined the rest of the school in a two-minute silence.
Children In Need
This week also saw us helping to raise money for children all over the UK- we took part in cake sales, non-uniform day, penalty shoot-out, colouring competition and guess how many sweets were in the jar. In total, we raised £328.29 for charity.
Trip
Finally, we were lucky enough to be able to visit the Cinema to see Dogman. We had a fantastic time and loved sharing this time together. Upon our return to school, we created our own film reviews.
