Another busy week in 3/4M.
In Music, we continued with the song Love What We Do, where we spoke about the song together, explored its musical style through the style indicators of this music and its performers, and we also used the glockenspiel to practise the song.
In R.E, we looked at symbols and their meanings to Christians. We looked at the stars, candles, holly and other symbols and identified what they represented. We discussed the three wise men, Jesus and where he was born. In pairs, children worked together to fill in the missing words all about Jesus, where he was born and whose son he was.

In Maths, we have been looking at subtracting 1s, 10s, 100s and 1000s across a boundary. We have looked at partitioning numbers, using our knowledge of number bonds to support this.

In Science, we looked at how plants change through the seasonal cycle. We discussed how temperature impacts plants and how some plants are known as dormant.

In Handwriting, we practised our ascending letters.

In History, we started our unit on the Ancient Egyptians where we located where Egypt is and which continent it is on. We also learnt and discussed the importance of the River Nile.
In Geography, we started looking at settlements and the difference between a village and a city.
