Find out what we've been learning this week in 5/6M

It's been another successful week in 5/6M. In English, we have been finishing our narratives and have begun to edit our work to include key features. The class have worked incredibly hard to use brackets and relative clauses effectively in their work. In Maths, we have been securing our addition skills and have demonstrated excellent enthusiasm all week.

In Science, we studied the components of the blood and their importance to the body. In History, we have deepened our understanding of the history of Baghdad by learning how the Mongols attacked the city in 1258. Our learning in Geography has moved onto relief maps and the children showed a good understanding of how colour on maps can be used to reflect land elevation.

In Art, we have been finishing our abstract work influenced by Sonia Delaunay and have written an analysis of our work too. Our understanding of types of weather in Spanish has also been strengthened, and we have begun looking at using days of the week in our sentences.

On Thursday, we had a non-uniform day in 5/6M to celebrate our 99% attendance the week before.
