Read on to find out what we have been up to..

Art-Drew and painted a Byzantine pattern. Mrs T and Miss Bunker were really impressed with the detail and colours used. Year 3 copied some of the shapes which they could see in the Hagia Sophia and tried to make their pattern symmetrical.

Science - Looked at the water cycle and focused on the process of condensation. Year 3 were able to identify that condensation is when water vapour turns back into liquid. We demonstrated our learning by drawing a diagram showing the process of condensation.

Maths - Finished our work on division. We began to make links between division and repeated subtraction, building on earlier learning.  We looked at calculations that may involve exchanging between the tens and ones and that have a remainder.

Geography - Focused on Canterbury and discussed why it is a historical city in the South East of England. The river running through Canterbury is the River Stour. Labelled a map showing the River Stour and Canterbury.

History - Looked at Charlies I, and he was an unpopular king with many people and his decisions led to the civil war. We analysed evidence to decide what were the most important causes that led to the event.
