WOW!! What a great week we've had!
We have been learning:
English- continuing our sentence stacking lessons where we have been looking at using adjectives, similes and questions to create verses of a poem about a tree and its features
Maths - We have just finished looking at sharing and grouping, and are now moving into the 2,5 and 10 times tables!
Geography - we have been looking at different rivers in Europe and labelling a map to show these.
Science - We conducted an experiment as a class looking at how light shows through various objects. Children began to identify if an object is translucent, transparent or opaque. We then organised these objects into a chart to show our understanding and drew the rays from torches to support this.

History - we continued our learning on The Anglo Saxons, The Scots and The Vikings.
This week we explored settlements, and the children drew their own Anglo Saxon House. They were asked to write what the houses were like back in this time.

We also had a wonderful day at our Viking workshop where children were able to explore artefacts from this period of time, learn about the culture, what they ate and how they wrote. Children were able to explore clothing and discussed who would wear what depending on the financial status.
