Spring 1 - Week 6 Learning & Achievements

The children absolutely smashed their February PIXL assessments and all received a specially personalised Miss Edgeley certificate as they all made progress!
An amazing achievement and Mrs T & I are EXTREMELY proud of all your hard work superstars!

A special mention to this pupil for winning a prestigious fidget spinner for making progress in all 6 of her assessments - a testament to her hard work and determination!

Not only have the class all made progress in their assessments, but they have all achieved their 30-point reading certificate and are halfway there to gaining their 60-point certificate and book!

A huge well done to our Golden Pupil for making fantastic progress in his assessment grades - we are very proud of you! Another huge well done to our Star of the Week for not only making good progress in his assessments, but improving the quantity of his work and increasing his stamina for writing. Keep this up superstar!

Not only have we been celebrating our achievements, but also a double-digit birthday. Happy birthday to this pupil - thank you for your invitation to a lovely birthday lunch and our class cupcakes. We hope you had a wonderful 10th birthday in Class Lewis!

Alongside our achievements, we also consolidated our learning of Living Things and their Habitats in Science through our multi-choice questions and writing a paragraph comparing the life cycles of different animals. We consolidated our learning of Australia in Geography through our multi-choice questions and filling in a map of Australia labelling the population density of each city, physical geography (lakes, rivers and oceans). We also created a key to colour-code the different biomes. Some excellent understanding!

This week was also Internet Safety Week. We discussed how technology has changed and how social media can have positive and negative influences. To promote safety and positivity online, we created our own social media influencers!

We carried on Gymnastics in PE and worked on our unison, ensuring we were in sync with our balances, travelling and rolls! We ended the week by thinking of ways we can rally support for our charity events in PSHE!
